In early December, I volunteered to take some photos for a community organization called Heart of Biddeford. They were organizing a fun event in Biddeford for the holidays called Downtown Holiday Festival.
These images taken near Ferry Beach State Park, Saco, Maine.
All of these images were taken with a Canon EOS 60D camera and Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens, no filter. That lens-camera combination gives me an effect you might find on a 35mm or full-frame camera with an 80mm lens (1.6 crop factor x 50mm = 80mm).
Some of the images were lightly processed in Lightroom.
I took my friend Mike to a photo workshop with me. Mike has had some experience modeling for a salon. It’s obvious why with awesome hair like that. He’s got rugged good looks that I wanted to accentuate with overhead lighting. I toned the images in Lightroom 3 to suit my vision.
