On June 12, I led a Street Photography Workshop in Old Orchard Beach for the OOB Saco Adult & Continuing Ed.
After last years super hot, early pandemic workshop, I planned this year to be during an event in Old Orchard: Back to the Beach Corvette Weekend. I’ve shot the Corvette weekend before, and I knew there would at least be a lot of people available until Palace Playland opened up. The attendees were great and I had one repeat attendee whom I plan to shoot with again.
Street Photography is such a mental game, with it’s own approach and a demand for awareness and readiness. It’s not easy to lead and be aware enough to shoot. At the end of the workshop I had a surprisingly low shot count; like < 80 photos in 5 hours.
A lot of the shots are just snapshots with nothing in them.
